Social Procurement Framework reporting requirements for the 2019-20 financial year
Health Purchasing Victoria (HPV) continues to assist health services to comply with Social Procurement Framework (SPF) requirements as they prepare their reports for the 2019-20 financial year.
Health services submitted their social procurement strategies to the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) by 31 August last year and are now required to include SPF implementation details in their 2019-20 Report of Operations, as outlined in the SPF Measurement and Reporting Guidelines.
HPV support includes preparing guidelines to help health services complete their SPF activity for annual reporting. Information to be reported may include SPF objectives prioritised by the health service and activities undertaken to support the strategy implementation – such as capability development, information sessions and supplier engagement.
HPV is also sharing our draft SPF Report of Operations to further assist health services with this requirement.
DTF has advised that health services will not need to submit an ABN wash tool as part of their SPF annual reporting. All that will be required for the 2019-20 financial year is one or more successful case studies, if available, where prioritised social procurement objectives have been achieved.
These case studies will be considered for possible inclusion in the Whole of Victorian Government Social Procurement Framework Annual Report 2019-20. Please send your case studies by email to email@example.com by 17 August 2020.
Health services can use the latest version of the ABN wash tool to summarise direct social procurement spend and measure social procurement success for inclusion in the annual report.
HPV’s Customer Relationship Managers are able to assist health services who would like help with the ABN wash tool to obtain a summary of their social procurement spend. Please contact a local CRM if you require assistance.
