New online probity training available
A new online probity training package is now available for health service clinical, operational and non-procurement employees, complementing Health Purchasing Victoria’s (HPV’s) package for procurement professionals released in 2018.
Delivered over three interactive modules, participants will learn about:
- Probity fundamentals and benefits that probity provides.
- Probity risks applicable to their day-to-day work.
- Practical approaches for responding to these risks should they arise.
The training package is flexible. Participants can complete the online modules at their own pace at a time that suits best, and all three can be completed in around 90 minutes.
The training aligns with Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) advice on essential risk management practices to support procurement.
HPV’s probity modules contribute to your professional development. For example, each year the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency requires all registered nurses and midwives to meet required continuing professional development (CPD) standards.
The time invested in active learning through HPV’s online probity training contributes to these CPD requirements. Once you complete the training you will receive a certificate and your training is recorded in HPV’s eLearning Centre for Health Outcomes – ECHO.
The new interactive modules are part of HPV’s suite of online probity, integrity and ethics training. A third online probity training package for health service board members and executives will be released later this year.
Visit the HPV website to access the online probity training on the ECHO platform or for more information. To register, click on the box on the top right of the website homepage and check the boxes to access HPV probity training.
